What we offer
1. Homa
In the Vedic yajnyas (adoration or worship) besides the mantras, special rituals or pujas are performed to awaken each aspect of intelligence that is underlying the universe. After a performance of the special rituals along with chanting, the yajnya fire is lit in a beautiful ceremony.
Fire is the vehicle of yajnya, besides the medicinal value of fire, special woods and fragrant substances are offered to the yajnya fire. By offering the sound and substances to the fire, the fire resonates and transmits subtle matter through subtle energy and also the special intention (or Sankalpa in Sanskrit) of the yajnya that was set will be supported.
At IVAC we have a team of expert priests to perform the rituals and can arrange a variety of specialised yajnyas based on your needs. Many patients have reported remarkable peace of mind and deep healing after performing them. All homas are performed at IVAC in our beautiful and lush campus and are done in the highest spirit of purity to this ancient unending tradition of Vedic wisdom.
2.Certified Ayurveda Therapist Training Course
Today more than ever before, people are recognizing the value of complementary holistic treatments such as Ayurvedic Massage Therapy in the achievement and maintenance of health and well-being.
Train for one, two, or three-month modules to develop rewarding jobs and skills in the field of Ayurveda. IVAC has been the first centre anywhere to develop a training program of international standards. People from all over the world have trained with us over the past 10 years as well as several of our trained therapists now work internationally.
The training centre is located at the foot of Chamundi hills in Mysore and is situated on twenty-five acres of sprawling natural beauty and panorama. We have created one of the finest facilities to train and deliver authentic Ayurveda treatments.
3. Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis
Although we rarely bring our conscious mind to it, the beating of the heart and the subsequent flow that is created through the body is the very basis of life as we know it. This “pulse” is indeed the pulse of our life, it carries with it every particle and cell and circulates prana or life energy in the form of various substances through our entire system. The science of pulse examination is called Nadi Vijnana.
The Rishis observed that the “information” present, as a form of a vibrational fingerprint in this pulse, was pretty much everything one would need to know to diagnose physical, mental and even spiritual ailments accurately.
Learning pulse diagnosis is a journey in self-discovery as the more one understands the inherent balance and imbalance of the systems in one’s physiology, the more one’s awareness can come to a point to bring them into balance ultimately.
At IVAC our Vaidyas have been trained in this beautiful art by Dr Talavane Krishna, an experienced teacher of pulse diagnosis who had learnt this from his guru at a tender age and also had studied with Dr Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque.
