What we offer

1. Japa

Mantra recitation, which is called Japa (“muttering”) in Sanskrit, has been an important aspect of Yoga practice since Vedic times. Japa is the meditative repetition of a mantra or a divine name. The mantra or name may be spoken softly, enough for the practitioner to hear it, or it may be spoken within the reciter’s mind.

2. Homa

In the Vedic yajnyas (adoration or worship) besides the mantras, special rituals or pujas are performed to awaken each aspect of intelligence that is underlying the universe. After a performance of the special rituals along with chanting, the yajnya fire is lit in a beautiful ceremony.

Fire is the vehicle of yajnya, besides the medicinal value of fire, special woods and fragrant substances are offered to the yajnya fire. By offering the sound and substances to the fire, the fire resonates and transmits subtle matter through subtle energy and also the special intention (or Sankalpa in Sanskrit) of the yajnya that was set will be supported.

At IVAC we have a team of expert priests to perform the rituals and can arrange a variety of specialised yajnyas based on your needs. Many patients have reported remarkable peace of mind and deep healing after performing them. All homas are performed at IVAC in our beautiful and lush campus and are done in the highest spirit of purity to this ancient unending tradition of Vedic wisdom.

3.Certified Ayurveda Therapist Training Course

Today more than ever before, people are recognizing the value of complementary holistic treatments such as Ayurvedic Massage Therapy in the achievement and maintenance of health and well-being.
Train for one, two, or three-month modules to develop rewarding jobs and skills in the field of Ayurveda. IVAC has been the first centre anywhere to develop a training program of international standards. People from all over the world have trained with us over the past 10 years as well as several of our trained therapists now work internationally.

The training centre is located at the foot of Chamundi hills in Mysore and is situated on twenty-five acres of sprawling natural beauty and panorama. We have created one of the finest facilities to train and deliver authentic Ayurveda treatments.

4. Astrology Consultation

Vedic Astrology is a modern science and technology to know past, present, and future.

5.Yoga Therapy

The teachings of Yoga, show that you actually possess five bodies or Koshas (Sheaths or layers) that belong to your entire overall makeup, which reach out far beyond your physical body. Each of these bodies is connected to your deepest soul. Your soul knows exactly what your purpose is, and exactly what you should be doing. Your soul self can only operate from a place of union, love and joy. In essence, your soul self is your highest self-personified.

The Five-Fold Integrated Yoga Program At IVAC has been carefully selected to create both equilibrium and fulfilment in all five of the Koshas (Sheaths or layers) of the human body when practised. We aim to show you exactly how interconnected your physical, energetic, spiritual, psychic and intellectual selves truly are.

6.Ayurveda

Ayurvedic Medicine is a holistic health care science that focuses not only on the prevention of disease but addresses solutions to chronic conditions. Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center (IVAC) is dedicated to practicing this ancient system in its pristine form by integrating the knowledge of modern medicine as in diagnostics, surgeries, trauma, emergencies and scientific research along with the treatment and healing modalities with the traditional Vedic wisdom of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda generously gives the guidelines to live life in accord with the laws of nature, thereby preventing illness and unhappiness in life. These guidelines are simple tools to maintain balance in life. Lifestyle, diet, knowledge of herbs, and behavior are mapped out for each individual according to their unique body-mind type.

7. Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis

Although we rarely bring our conscious mind to it, the beating of the heart and the subsequent flow that is created through the body is the very basis of life as we know it. This “pulse” is indeed the pulse of our life, it carries with it every particle and cell and circulates prana or life energy in the form of various substances through our entire system. The science of pulse examination is called Nadi Vijnana.

The Rishis observed that the “information” present, as a form of a vibrational fingerprint in this pulse, was pretty much everything one would need to know to diagnose physical, mental and even spiritual ailments accurately.

Learning pulse diagnosis is a journey in self-discovery as the more one understands the inherent balance and imbalance of the systems in one’s physiology, the more one’s awareness can come to a point to bring them into balance ultimately.

At IVAC our Vaidyas have been trained in this beautiful art by Dr Talavane Krishna, an experienced teacher of pulse diagnosis who had learnt this from his guru at a tender age and also had studied with Dr Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque.
