Padmashri, Dr Mukesh Batra is the founder, Chairman of Dr Batra’s® Healthcare-The world’s largest chain of over 225 homeopathy clinics across 6 countries. His Foundation helps the underprivileged with free homeopathy treatment at over 175 clinics and offers scholarships to un affording students in 10 of India’s leading homeopathy colleges . Dr Batra has authored 10 best selling books on homeopathy with international publishing houses. A play ‘Jeena isika ka naam hai’ based on his life by Yatri productions ran to full houses in Delhi and Mumbai. His teachings have been recognised by granting him Honorary Fellowships at Homeopathy colleges in California, USA and London, UK. He is also a Patron of the Trichology Society U.K., one of the world’s oldest hair specialist institutions. Dr Batra is a member of the national task force and the co-chair for AYUSH – Homeopathy, of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) an advocacy body. He is a member of the advisory board of the Chamber of Fair Business Practices (CFBP). He has recently been elected as the President of SKAL Mumbai- South, an industry body of hospitality. Dr Batra has been former chair of health and wellness of the Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC). He has been the president of the Rotary Club of Bombay, a premiere rotary club in South East Asia. He is collaborating with different state governments through his foundation to improve the quality of health care in India and to realise his dream of a Bimari Mukt Bharat. Dr Batra was awarded the Padmashri, one of India’s highest civilian awards in 2012 for Medicine – Homeopathy by the President of India, in recognition of his work for Homeopathy globally. Dr Batra believes in holistic wellness. He believes that disease is not just an absence of sickness but wellness is the ability to give off your best according to your capabilities at any given time. Wellness is a balance of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
